In this new BLOCKJOCKS BLOCK OF THE DAY video Dr. Greg Hickman performs an ultrasound-guided iPACK block, injecting local anesthetic in the Interspace between the Popliteal Artery and the Capsule of the Knee to achieve posterior analgesia for ACL reconstruction. This approach has gained popularity recently but remains inadequately studied as a posterior supplement to adductor canal blocks. To better understand it's efficacy Dr. Hickman and his team are currently evaluating iPACK blocks compared to tibial blocks and compared to no posterior block at all.
